Taandav – Trailer Review!

Authors : Aastha Jain & Aastha Dayal

Muvizz is a platform that brings across eyebrow raising, thought provoking content to mainstream Indian cinema. In its drive to create exceptional and curate only the best of movies and documentaries for the Indian audience – one thwarted with skimpy releases and no space for mindful cinema – team Muvizz has left no stone unturned.

How many times do we come across curated content that provides a breakthrough to the humdrum of daily life, rids us of our perfunctory, tiresome states of mind, and shows us something beyond the moribund product of an enterprising age we’ve become, that only runs on marketing gimmicks. Muvizz has made its mark here, and is now presenting to you, Taandav.

About The Huge Support The Movie Has Already Garnered From The Industry

Gangs of Wasseypur fame, Director and Producer Anurag Kashyap is the face of the Avant Garde, independent cinema in India today, who has never failed to speak his mind through his art which he showcases through his movies. From writing television series to being honored with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government, Mr .Kashyap has seen it all and done it all.

His thirst of learning and breaking stereotypes has led him to great heights and mind boggling is the word we would associate with him.

He is expected to grace the unveiling of a short film, Taandav, produced by Muvizz.com, starring actor Manoj Bajpayee, two time national film award recipient.

About The Star Cast

Mr.Bajpayee is a Delhi university graduate and has set milestones in the Tamil and Telegu film industry along with the Hindi film industry. He is still remembered for his role as Sardar Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur and this powerhouse of talent has collaborated with Muvizz for a short film “Taandav”. A teaser of the movie released on Monday on an online streaming website and its like we said mind boggling.
The trailer hinted at the dilemma of Manoj Bajpayee, a constable and a middle class man stuck between the choice of doing his duty; following rightful trail and being seduced by the evils of society.

Our Review!

The trailer also consisted of a couple of men wearing white masks and a hanging dead body.
Produced by Muvizz, the trailer of the short film has generated a lot of buzz among cinema lovers and promises power packed, intelligent cinema.

For most of us who have watched Manoj Bajpayee in his impeccable performances like Gangs of Wasseypur, know how much the actor has to offer us when it comes to acting.
Leaving us mesmerized with his performances every now and then, it becomes impossible for us to find a flaw in such a flawless actor who grows with every work of his. “Taandav” though a short film looks very promising from the first teaser itself considering how beautifully it shows different shades of a story yet leaves us wondering about what next? And craving for more.

A very enthralling thing coming up in our Indian cinema is the growth of out of the box and cult cinema which is being appreciated by most. It is because of this very growth that new age directors, producers, actors who were only appreciated in the art film industry are also getting recognition in the mainstream industry, due to their promising and accepted work.
Just like a ship needs it’s captain to guide it through endless water, the same way a film is never possible without it’s director. The same way, “Taandav” has been a brainchild of Mr. Devashish Makhija who not only directed this film but also wrote it.
So finally we would conclude by keeping our eyes glued to the computers to see more teasers, trailers and finally the film “Taandav” for which we definitely cannot wait considering the amazing rush of adrenaline JUST promising teaser gave us.

We rate the trailer at a staggering 4/5 stars for staying true to its name and keeping the viewer hooked. Being so simpleton and yet so profound!
